About the Role
Your Responsibilities
Have a daily presence on the shop floor and provide flexible coverage across three shifts as required
Filing keeping filing system up to date including the creation of new employee files terminated employee files recruitment files and the appropriate discard of outdatedobsolete files
Maintain training program including keeping training binder up to date issue training memos assist with booking follow up of requisitions and training requests maintain training tracking matrix issue and file training certificates
Support training needs assessments and training plan coordination and execution
Maintain training records and evaluate effectiveness of training
Monitor training requirements to ensure mandatory training is booked in a timely manner upon new hire or job changes and ensure training does not expire
Coordinate with department managers on cross functional training activities
Maintain Flexibility training program including updating master spreadsheet issue training cards and modify assessment tools accordingly
Compile training data and prepare reports as required and flag any training gaps to HR Manager and Department Manager
Maintain performance reviewtracking system and on a monthly basis forward a list of reviews to be completed to each department supervisor or manager Prepare monthly report to escalate late and overdue appraisals and distribute to management
All administrative functions related to the HR department including Health Safety and Environmental
Prepare letters memos and other documents as needed
Assist in preparation of presentation material for regular monthly employee meetings HR meetings and CommitteeTeam meetings
Prepare agendas and meeting minutes for JHSC First Aid Ergo Fairness Committee Employee Meetings HR Dept Meetings Energy Team etc
Maintain communication boards including cafeteria TV MagnaNow screens to ensure postings are current engaging and displayed in a neat and organized fashion
Actively and positively support the continued practice of Common Values behaviours and the Employee Charter
Ensure fair and equitable treatment of all employees
Initiate and embrace company change
Assist with the administration of temporary employees ensuring proper documentation supports request prior to coordinating Forward hours to temporary agencys in timely manner to ensure accurate payroll
Initiate employee information and pay change forms for employees as required ie pay review schedule employee change of records change of address position change employment status change etc
Assist with preparation for all HR and HSE Audits
Ensure compliance with IATF16949 ISO14001 and ISO 45001 by adhering to work instructions and maintaining accurate records
Who we are looking for
Assist HR Safety Team with all departmental projects and administrative functions Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of appropriate documentation
Your preferred qualifications
Post Secondary Education in Human Resources Management is required
Two 2 to three 3 years of work experience in the human resources field experience in the manufacturing industry is an asset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Show ability to meet deadlines and prioritize work
Excellent knowledge of the English language both written and oral
Professional friendly and exceptional interpersonal skills written verbal listening
Able to recognize the position as one of a highly trusted and confidential nature
Must be a selfstarter team player and an active listener
Trained in a method of teamoriented problem solving
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
Able to work within a self directed work environment to achieve results
Demonstrated ability to manage simultaneous projects
