Job Description:
POSITION PURPOSE:
The purpose of the HR Assistant position is to be responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the HR Team Leader to carry out responsibilities in the following areas: Benefits administration, employee relations, training, hourly performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage entire hourly recruitment process (including job bid): Post recruitment ads internally & externally. Collect applications/ resumes. Pre-screen and interview applicants. Conduct testing. Conduct reference/background checks. Assist with New Hire Onboarding.

Explains and interprets company insurance and other benefit programs to partners and dependents.

Work closely with the HRTL to Plan, Manage, and Communicate special projects and programs such as employee recognition, benefits, recruiting, performance management, and surveys

Process status changes and track wage increases.

Provide administrative support to the HR Team. To include data entry, typing and computer aided preparation of other documents as requested.

Prepares and files reports of short term disability, FMLA and other types of partner leaves.

Maintains contact with Home Office, Finance, Payroll and leadership Partners to investigate discrepancies and provide information in non-routine situations.

Maintains partner files and other record keeping such as I-9’s, life status changes, etc.

Enter, update and maintain current information into HRIS system. Assume the responsibility of ordering and the distribution of uniforms

Assist with the scheduling and preparation of company events

Must be able to work overtime as required.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
SKILLS:

Must have demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.

Must have proven excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Must have previous PC experience. Must have advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Additional exposure to and proficiency in Workday, Power Point and HR Tools preferred.

Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Gain and maintain an understanding of all office equipment.

Willing to perform duties assigned and manage multiple priorities.
