As HSE Manager based in Bucharest you will design programs to eliminate and prevent disease, injury, or environmental issues within the framework of the global HSE standards and local legislations. You will be also responsible for ensuring these programs effective implementation.
Your responsibilities

Support and ensure FLS activities are compliant with HSE requirements in Europe and Turkey, including office activities and field service activities.

Identify and implement local legal requirement related to company activities to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices, and maintain legal register.

Create and maintain a comprehensive HSE management system that covers all aspects of site activities by following both the company global HSE requirements and local requirements.

Identify risks and provide input to improved procedures on how to reduce risks and hazards by facilitating risk assessment procedures.

Identify environment impacts from company’s activities and maintain the IRO (Impact, Risk, and Opportunity) register, support the design and implementation of environmental initiatives.

Identify HSE competence required in the organization and support the training programs to and among employees, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Ensure all activities are following relevant legal and company / customer requirements, including activities inside the company, at customer sites and contractors.

Ensure accurate and timely reporting of HSE data, including Incidents, Observations, Environment related indicators, Contractor hours, etc.

Ensure accidents, near-misses, observations are properly investigated, root causes identified, corrective and preventive actions implemented to prevent recurrence, and communicated within the organization properly.

Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, non-compliance issues, and areas for improvement.

Coordinate with relevant regulatory authorities, external auditors, and certification bodies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and achieve necessary certifications.

Create and maintain Emergency Response Plan and Site Induction for company locations and arrange evacuation drills.

Support Sales team for tendering from HSE perspective.
What you bring
-
At least 3 years of experience in HSE area. Work experience in the mining industry is a plus.

Solid knowledge in local/national HSE regulations and HSE compliance obligations.

Understanding of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 standards, preferably holds the Lead Auditor Certificate.

Experience in developing and implementing HSE management systems (IMS), policies, and procedures.

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organization.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

Knowledge about incident investigation and root cause analysis.
-
Experience in delivering HSE training programs and promoting a safety-oriented culture.

Strong knowledge of the MS Office package.

Full professional proficiency in English and Romanian. Spanish/German/Turkish are plus.
