About the role

With your expertise in assessment tools and methodologies, and your passion for employee development, you will successfully leverage assessment best practices to:

  • Lead the design and delivery of our assessments strategy, including programs and initiatives that support the Grow with Us pillar of our employee promise and help turn assessments into a competitive advantage for Intact.
  • Lead a multi-year initiative to design and deliver out of the box and custom assessments to key stakeholders across the organization
  • Lead the build out of an internal Assessment practice with the goal of internalizing all assessment debriefs over 3-year period.  
  • Develop and deliver out of the box and custom assessments and reports that support Intact’s strategic priorities.
  • Administer assessments and provide assessment debriefs to a diverse group of employees of varying backgrounds, age groups and experiences to support their development and career progression.
  • Create and execute plans to leverage technology / AI / reporting tools to support assessment strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with Talent Management, Talent Acquisition and L&D teams to drive strong awareness of assessment tools and offerings within Intact.
  • Develop excellent relationships with TalEx and HR to become a key resource, advisor and expert for the HR community on assessments.
  • Develop relevant tools, guidance, and training for all areas of HR to equip them to support their business with requesting and interpreting assessments, and ensuring the use of assessment outcomes for employee development.
  • Proactively identify and involve key stakeholders inside and outside of HR in the development and delivery of out of the box and custom assessments.
  • Participate in project meetings, workshops, and other activities where the presence of assessments expertise is needed.
  • Keep up to date on trends and best practices, and regularly review tools and vendors to identify opportunities to strengthen and evolve assessment tools and resources to meet organizational needs.  Monitor and respond to organizational changes.
  • Lead the design of train the trainer sessions, or workshops for HR and/or different business areas as it relates to building internal assessments capabilities.
  • Develop KPIs to measure and report on the success of assessments at Intact. Derive insights from assessment data to inform and recommend actions.
  • Contribute to other key Employee Experience initiatives with senior HR and business leaders that chart Intact’s future employee experience strategy.

What you bring to the table

  • 7 or more years of work experience with a passion for people and development.
  • Professional certification(s) in the delivery and interpretation of one or more types of assessments is strongly preferred (e.g. SuccessFinder, SHL, Hogan, etc.), or equivalent experience. 
  • Masters or PHD would be a strong asset.
  • Awareness and application of assessment standards, guidelines, and ethics, methods and tools; informed in new thinking and best practices in assessments.
  • Strong communication skills and emotional intelligence with the ability to deliver transparent and constructive feedback to support development with an independent and balanced perspective.
  • A collaborative and inclusive mindset, with respect for all aspects of diversity in the development and delivery of assessments.
  • The creativity and innovation to propose new or out of the box solutions.
  • Sound project and program management skills, incl. defining work parameters and short to long-term plans.
  • A strong understanding of the insurance business / financial services would be an asset.
  • Bilingual (French) is strongly preferred considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
