The HR Specialist is responsible for providing increased organizational capability for all functional departments.. This involves assisting with developing and implementing HR initiatives that will increase organizational effectiveness, build capability and derive the full potential of the workforce. Essential functions include, but are not limited to: recruitment, onboarding, communicating benefits, training, implementing policies, employee investigations and procedure compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with internal stakeholders to provide support on organizational matters, serving as an HR champion to leaders.
  • Provide first-line support for all employees’ inquiries and address and resolve employee relations concerns in a timely and responsive manner.
  • Work as part of a passionate and results-driven team to execute creative HR programs alongside consistency with business processes and procedures that align with PCI’s company policies.
  • Assist Talent Acquisition team as necessary with recruiting and onboarding. Responsible for assisting in developing and implementing administrative procedures and executing improvements through Human Resources and other departmental areas.
  • Lead internal investigations; provide support for conflict resolution; monitor counseling situations; and terminations as necessary. 
  • Support and maintain the employee engagement programs and initiatives that support PCI’s organizational goals and culture.
  • Processes unemployment claims, this includes providing timely protests to IDES and representing the company on unemployment hearings.
  • Supports org level change management processes and initiatives by maintaining a position of influence and persuasion with business leaders and workers.
  • Demonstrates full ownership of all aspects of specialized HR projects and see them through to completion.
  • Drives human resource compliance efforts by ensuring guidelines and policies are consistent and enforced in the areas of AAP, EEOC, ADA, FLSA, etc.
  • Prepares, trends, and presents HR metrics. This includes weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Continuously review local, state, federal, and international laws to ensure PCI’s systems and processes are compliant.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in daily operations.
  • This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
  • Attendance to work is an essential function of this position
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.

                                                                                

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 3-5 years related experience and/or training.
  • College Level Mathematical Skills
  • Intermediate Computer Skills: Ability to perform more complex computer tasks and has knowledge of various computer programs.             
  • Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.
  • High Reasoning: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where there is only limited standardization. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions that may be provided in various forms..

Preferred

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize with minimal direction
  • Mature judgement, initiative, poise, tact, affability, trustworthiness, and the ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Enjoys working with detail and staying organized but flexible enough to easily adapt to changing priorities.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP Certification
  • Knowledge and/or leadership experience in multiple HR disciplines (i.e. organizational diagnosis, employee engagement, leadership development; strategic staffing; performance management; talent management; workforce effectiveness; succession planning; organizational development, design & effectiveness; legal compliance; rewards and recognition, etc.).
