As our HR Lead, you’ll be the go-to person for all things people-related, partnering with managers to drive engagement, performance, and compliance. Leading a team of advisors and business partners, you’ll provide expert HR advice and support, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment legislation while fostering a positive workplace culture.
In addition to the above you will:

Support the HR Manager in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business objectives.

Maintain and audit HR policies, employment agreements, and position descriptions to ensure compliance.

Investigate and resolve employment relations (ER/IR) issues, providing sound advice to managers.

Coordinate performance appraisals and salary reviews, ensuring accurate and timely processes.

Advise on employment matters, including leave, remuneration, benefits, and performance management.

Stay up to date with employment law changes, ensuring policies remain compliant.

We’re looking for someone with:
-
A tertiary qualification in HR or a related field.
-
5+ years of experience in an HR generalist role or similar HR position.
-
Proven experience in NZ employment law and employment relations, and preferably with a unionised workforce.

Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect with empathy, influence and engage stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
