About the Role
We are looking for an HR Generalist to provide local HR support for our growing Lisbon site. This role is a key HR position on the ground, providing hands-on employee support while ensuring smooth HR operations. As the first point of contact for all HR matters on-site, you will be instrumental in securing a positive employee experience, maintaining compliance, and supporting our people operations locally. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Riskified’s expansion in Portugal, working closely with global HR teams to build and maintain a strong company culture while ensuring an excellent employee experience.
What You'll Be Doing
- Support all HR processes in our Lisbon office including onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance
- Oversee the full recruitment cycle for Lisbon-based roles, from sourcing to onboarding
- Coordinate onsite interviews, act as a key candidate liaison, and enhance the candidate experience
- Manage relationships with local vendors (recruiting, facilities)
- Act as the liaison between employees and cross-functional teams (IT, Facilities, HR Operations) to address onsite needs
- Provide guidance on employment contracts, payroll processes, and benefits administration in coordination with global HR
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees, addressing HR-related inquiries and concerns
- Support managers with employee relations, performance management, and workplace conflict resolution
- Conducted HR orientations and facilitated the integration of new employees into the Lisbon office
- Organize employee engagement activities, team events, and wellness initiatives tailored to the Lisbon team
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist, People Operations role in a global tech company
- 2+ years of recruiting experience
- Strong knowledge of Portuguese labor laws and HR best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English and Portuguese (verbal & written)
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a problem-solving mindset
- Ability to build relationships and act as a trusted point of contact for employees

Our hybrid policy allows employees to work both at home and in our office to provide flexibility and enhance collaboration amongst teams. Our NYC team works in a hybrid work model of 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
