We are looking for an ambitious HR Generalist to join our dynamic team! This multifaceted role combines the exhilarating challenges of Employee Relations and Performance Management while championing Health & Safety compliance. What you get to do everyday:
- Employee Relations & Performance Management – lead and participate in employee relations and performance management activities, establishing a strong HR presence across the organization
- Health & Safety - develop and execute health and safety programs and ensure compliance with legislative requirements, policies and procedures across our Canadian and US offices
- Policy Development & Administration – research and develop company policies, best practices and documentation and coordinate the resolution of policy related matters
- Lead orientation training sessions for new hires
- Prepare and disseminate regular internal and external communication
- Participate in the research, development, interpretation, and implementation of company policies and procedures
- Actively participate in the Social, Wellness and Health & Safety Committees, events and initiatives
- Participate in other facets of Human Resources, including Employee Engagement & Development
- Travel as required to US offices

What skills do you need:
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience in an HR role
- Experience or familiarity with U.S. employment and health & safety legislation is an asset
- Demonstrated experience managing employee relations and performance management matters, including employee exits, disciplinary action, complaint investigations
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating health & safety policies, procedures, programs and initiatives
- Experience in other facets of Human Resources, including training and development, considered an asset
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is preferred
- Active member of the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA)
