Summary Of How You Will Impact Skylo

Skylo is hiring an HR Generalist to help fulfill Skylo’s mission of making satellite connectivity available to all. This individual will support a myriad of HR, recruiting and office support, focusing on recruitment, on/offboarding, compliance, payroll, culture, employee engagement, and performance processes.

How You Will Contribute 

  • Assist in developing and implementing local people programs and drive engagement with employees.
  • Assist in the full recruitment cycle for key positions, driving talent acquisition strategies and ensuring a seamless onboarding process for new hires.
  • Support employees and managers, addressing concerns, providing guidance on policies, and fostering a supportive work environment while working with the HR Manager.
  • Ensure company compliance with local Karnataka employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in compensation structures, manage benefits programs. 
  • Support the finance team in processing payroll, ensuring timely, accurate processing.
  • Support the performance review process, employee feedback, and development plans. Including initiatives for employee engagement and retention.
  • Provide insights for decision-making, and generate reports on key HR metrics, such as turnover, headcount, and engagement.
  • Lead the organization of local company events, staff meetings, and team-building activities. 

What We Look For 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in HR and office management or a similar role.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with HR processes, local legislations (specifically, in Karnataka), HRIS systems, benefits administration, and general office management.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and HR software
