The Human Resource Assistant position is an in office position for candidates within a commutable distance of our Irvine location. This role is Full-time non-exempt hourly, and pays a range of $20.00 depending on experience. This role is open to candidates who do not require visa sponsorship.

What You’ll do:

The Human Resource Assistant must be able to perform the following tasks:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and employees, ensuring a professional and welcoming front desk experience.
  • Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence, directing inquiries to the appropriate departments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and office environment.
  • Coordinate scheduling of meetings, conference rooms, and office events as needed.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires, including preparing new hire paperwork, orientation scheduling, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Support HR functions such as maintaining employee records, tracking attendance, and handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Assist with recruitment activities, such as posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates.
  • Process and file HR documentation, including employment contracts, benefits enrollment, and compliance forms.
  • Monitor and order office supplies to ensure adequate inventory for daily operations.
  • Address and resolve basic employee inquiries related to HR policies, benefits, and company procedures.
  • Assist with organizing employee engagement initiatives and company events.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, record-keeping, and report preparation.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to support special projects and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations in all HR and front desk activities

What we are looking for:

The Human Resource Assistant must have the following experiences:

  • High school diploma, Associates in Human Resources preferred.
  • 1-2 years of HR experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
  • Experience with UKG is a plus!
