Your role

We are looking for a dedicated HR Assistant (currently enrolled as a student or a recent graduate) to join a young scale-up with ambitious colleagues from all over the world. This role plays a key part in supporting our employees and ensuring their positive experience at OpenUp, setting a strong foundation for long-term success and engagement. This role offers a unique opportunity to explore various HR functions, from onboarding to employee engagement, learning and development, and more. You'll gain hands-on experience while contributing to impactful projects and initiatives that shape the employee journey.

HR Operations:

  • Support with administrative tasks such as preparing contracts & addendums, onboarding employees & updating their data in our HRIS HiBob, preparing employer statements,..
  • Dive into HR analytics with providing data for meetings (e.g., absenteeism, turnover,..)
  • Support in-office HR activities such as preparation of company-wide meetings and more

Employee Relations:

  • Point of contact for employees, managing incoming queries in our ticket system Zendesk
  • Support with the onboarding days for new employees at OpenUp
  • Order flowers and gifts for employees (f.e. Birth of a child, accidents,..)

About You

Next to that:

  • Some previous experience in HR is preferred (through internships or working student jobs)
  • You are eager to learn, have attention to detail, are service oriented and want to develop into an HR role
  • You are available for approximately 3 days per week 
  • You are fluent in English; Dutch is a big plus
