Join us as a HR Advisory Team Manager
- In this key role, you’ll be leading, motivating and developing the skills and technical knowledge of a team of advisers to deliver high standards of service while meeting statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions
- We’ll look to you to proactively support the senior team to determine the strategic direction of the function and to deliver the people, customer and operational efficiency agendas
- It’s an opportunity to drive customer excellence, gathering and acting upon customer and other forms of feedback to make improvements and drive overall success of the function, giving you and your work excellent exposure

What you’ll do
As a HR Advisory Team Manager, you’ll lead a team that are appropriately skilled to provide quality and accurate HR advice, taking into account consistency, policy, employment law, risk management and commercial views.
With a thorough understanding of the business and strong commercial awareness, you’ll identify opportunities to add value to the business divisions to deliver appropriate interventions through securing the right resources. You’ll provide training, support and coaching to the team to improve performance and share knowledge across case operations to enable the promotion of best practice.
In addition, you’ll be:
- Monitoring and measuring individual performance management and completing quality assurance processes
- Reporting team performance to the operations manager using relevant reporting metrics
- Planning, allocating and organizing resources to manage workflow and developing contingency plans for the business in case of disruption to operation
- Contributing to business and strategic planning and the delivery of operational plans
- Investigating and resolving complaints received from the business, HRBPs and other stakeholders
The skills you’ll need
To be successful in this role, you’ll need knowledge of HR policies and procedures, employment law, employment tribunals and awards, along with commercial and regulatory knowledge. Experience of managing a team of professionals is a must, and you’ll have strong communication and influencing skills. We’ll also expect you to bring a strong customer focus and the ability to drive others to exceed expectations.
In addition, you’ll need:
- In depth practical knowledge of employment law
- An understanding of broader commercial and business measures
- Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to resolve conflict and achieve shared goals
- Risk analysis and management experience
- Well-developed planning and organizing skills, and the ability to identify operational problems and provide practical solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
