What You're Applying For:
Do you love cars? Are you the go-to car person in your social group? Do you love sharing your passion with friends and family? How about on camera? Edmunds is seeking a personable and enthusiastic host for video content on both company-owned and external channels. While interfacing with multiple departments, you will come up with ideas and scripts for video productions. You will provide on-screen personality during production, and you will provide timely feedback to a post production team. Our ideal candidate should be able to speak to the automotive novice, the enthusiast, and everyone in between. This is a freelance role and may work across both Edmunds and Carmax YouTube channels. What You'll Do:

  • Provide approachable and entertaining on-screen personality during production
  • Help generate stellar content for YouTube and social media channels
  • Provide critique and analysis of new and used vehicles on tight turnaround
  • Simplify and explain complex ideas and information in an entertaining way
  • Help produce video productions and visually bring scripts to life for social and YouTube
  • Play a role in ideating and scripting video content for YouTube and social channels


What You Need:

  • Thorough knowledge of automotive products (cars) or strong interest to learn
  • Positive, can-do attitude, able to find solutions
  • Ability to spend time in the field and drive regularly
  • Able to distill complex information into entertaining and informative scripts
  • Familiarity with productivity software (Jira, Slack, and Google Docs) is desirable.


The compensation for this position is $1,800 per project.Each project includes up to a two day shoot, performing in front of camera, picking up and dropping off cars, learning script lines, and attending pre-production meetings.
