Head of Product Strategy

The Head of Product Strategy will be responsible for elevating Product Management as a function at Equifax Workforce Solutions. You will partner with each area of the business to ensure that there is discipline and rigor in our approach to Product Management as a function, aligning product management best practices and developing the strategic vision for Product across all lines of business. 

This role will have indirect management responsibility for Product Management that sits within the functional business areas. This position will report to the SVP of Marketing, Product & Experience and will have regular interactions with the executive leadership team. 

What You’ll Do:

• Own the Product Management community of Practice at EWS and will drive the operational rigor associated with the Product Management discipline 

• Own the strategic direction and vision for Product Management within EWS, and broadly the product strategy for the entire business unit 

• Partner with Product Management leaders in the lines of business to develop strategic vision within each area, and support their efforts to bring forward business cases for investment to drive growth and innovation within the organization 

• Partner to create forums for customer and internal innovation, to ensure outside-in thinking prevails when investment decisions are made

• Own Quarterly and Annual Product Planning cycles, partnering with the lines of business & technology teams to ensure successful execution and aligned efforts 

• Develop the Product Scorecard for EWS that will be used to understand product health, and will partner with the areas of business as needed

• Partner with finance to ensure P&L rigor associated with each Product Portfolio and will partner with the budget cycle to ensure investment discipline 

• Define Product Roadmap management and develop standards for all Product Lines to adopt 

• Partner with various teams including D&A, Corporate Product Management & Finance to align on and develop best practices 

• Partner with CX & UX teams to understand the market, competitors and set the standard for how Product teams will use that data to analyze their roadmaps

• Be a champion for the Product Management discipline, advocating & implementing training, tools, and processes that will accelerate Product excellence 

• Mentor and coach Product Managers at EWS 

Experience You’ll Need:

• Extensive experience in product management: 10-15 years in Product Management, with at least 5 in leadership roles for a B2B product portfolio 

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

What Could Set You Apart:

• Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle: You should have a strong grasp of agile methodologies, user research, design thinking, and product analytics.

• Understanding of financial reporting and P&L: Be comfortable with key financial reports like the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement. You should understand how product decisions impact revenue, costs, and profitability.

• Leadership and people management skills: This is a senior role requiring the ability to build, manage, and mentor high-performing product teams in a matrixed environment.

• Data-driven decision making: The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and experience using data to inform product decisions.

• Technical proficiency: While not necessarily a software engineer, a solid understanding of technology and its impact on product development is important.

• Strategic thinking and vision: This role needs to be able to set a product vision and strategy aligned with overall business goals. 

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills: This role needs to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, sales), executives, and potentially customers/partners. Strong storytelling skills are required. 

• B2B Product Management Experience in any of the following industries: Data & Analytics, HR Software, FinTech 

• Time spent in Product Management Operations
