What you'll do

As the Head of Presentation Design at Avalere Health, you’ll be the driving force behind elevating our presentation standards and leading a dynamic team that supports key functions across the organization. You’ll have a direct impact on shaping and developing the talent within the presentation team, working closely with departments like US Marketing & Global Marketing, Medical, Consulting, PAVE, and Group functions, as well as any future business expansions.

In this hands-on role, we’re looking for a true PowerPoint expert who is not only a leader but also loves being involved in the creative process. You’ll combine your deep expertise in design with your leadership skills, offering both creative direction and practical support to ensure the highest level of delivery. Your ability to dive into projects and lead by example will be crucial.

You’ll play a critical part in understanding capacity and demand, streamlining resources, and defining the skillsets and structure of your department to ensure smooth and efficient delivery. Your expertise in building and leading high-performing teams, overseeing multiple projects, and mastering the presentation design space will be key to your success.

As a strategic communicator and diplomat, you’ll collaborate across the business to craft the vision for our presentation practice and support new business growth.

Job Responsibilities

• Drive team innovation in presentation storytelling, creative execution, data visualizations and design standards.
• Create and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance.
• Be able to effectively communicate the organizational design and structure of the department to internal clients.
• Lead the development of robust operational internal processes and be able to effectively manage the interface between Presentation and other departments, influencing and coaching internal clients to adopt Presentation processes.
• Collaborate with Capability Client Service and Project Management teams to understand agency business from a scope and workflow perspective, and contribute input to scope estimation, timelines, resource planning, etc.
• Work with Shared Solutions and Capability leadership to collaborate on resource sharing and identify gaps, on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to ensure optimal staff mix of talent to deliver our client work plans.
• Grow Presentation pipeline by developing, communicating, and driving initiatives that will help Avalere Health meet and exceed goals and client expectations.
• Drive results with continuous innovation to create a world-class experience by identifying high impact Presentation solutions.
• Regularly consult with Capability teams and Departments to drive Presentation cohesiveness, creative elevation and innovation across the business.
• Actively participate in new business and presentation design work.
• Strategically leverage and maximize our competitive advantage.
• Fuel forward thinking and always be looking to drive growth.
• Build relationships and maintain contact with key client leaders and key agency leaders.
• Responsible for managing and developing a senior team including 1:1s; continuous feedback; annual performance reviews and development plans.
• Lead and inspire a team of presentation designers and producers to ensure we hit our Presentation goals and can pivot quickly when we need to.
• Proactively provide direct feedback to team members to improve the quality of work provided to clients and client teams.

About You

• Minimum 10 years’ agency experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' overseeing a team.
• Line management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design
• 5+ years of presentation design experience.
• PowerPoint expert.
• Familiarity with planning tools.
• Experience and broad exposure across Presentation platforms.
