ABOUT THE TEAM
The Air Dominance and Strike Division is one of Anduril’s fastest growing divisions. Our goal is to fundamentally reshape the way future peer to peer conflicts are fought by developing next generation collaborative combat aircraft, advanced effects, and the software that powers these autonomous weapons. The AD&S Operations team is a small but mighty team of business generalists who enable the division to scale through hyper-growth while breaking as few things as possible. The Head of Operations, AD&S Engineering will partner closely with our VPs of Hardware and Software Engineering and lead an operations team responsible for business operations across our functional engineering organizations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Partner with the VPs of Hardware and Software Engineering and their leadership teams to drive and execute strategy for organizational development that will scale and meet engineering needs across the AD&S division
- Define the org vision, org operating model, and annual goals
- Determine investments for engineering capabilities and technology development
- Set and track metrics for organizational health and performance on engineering deliverables
- Drive day-to-day operations and develop internal processes and frameworks for efficient operations of the AD&S Engineering org. This includes staffing and hiring, org communications, performance management and compensation, seating, and financial tracking.
- Build out and run the talent management machine for our organization, enabling efficient recruiting, development, and allocation of talent as the organization scales from 100s to 1000s
- Collaborate closely with the AD&S Recruiting team to ensure the correct types and quantities of new employees are coming in the door and reprioritizing recruiting resources as needed
- Work with Engineering leadership to understand employee performance and career development plans
- Drive annual planning as part of the corporate planning cycle
- Work with corporate technology to build the underlying data and system infrastructure for organizational operations - Confluence spaces, Jira systems, Foundry dashboards, etc
- Manage organizational communications internal to the team and external across the division, such as All Hands and Onsites
- Lead a small operations team to support day to day org tactical operations and strategic initiatives within the engineering departments
- Execute strategic initiatives for the organization across staffing, finance, real estate, and other business infrastructure
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- You’re highly analytical and love solving complex, cross-functional problems in a people centric way
- You’re both high ownership and low ego, approaching everything with strong outcome orientation and high humility
- You’re highly detail oriented and data-driven
- You’re discerning and an incredibly fast learner
- You’re tactical and don’t only sit at a 30,000 foot level
- You have 8+ years of varied experience in an operating role at a high-growth technology company, starting a venture, or in finance or consulting
- You have a background in engineering
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Top Secret clearance
US Salary Range
$120,000—$200,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
