The Head of Market Access and Reimbursement will lead efforts to achieve favorable coverage and reimbursement for Eko’s disease detection technology in the United States. 


This is a hands-on leadership role where the individual will architect Eko’s reimbursement presence from the ground-up. This individual will build coverage and payment models for a new category of medical technology across commercial payors and Medicare, defining Eko’s value story, building clinical and economic dossiers to support the narrative, leading Eko’s first interactions with payors, equipping Eko’s sales team with the information they need to be successful, establishing the infrastructure necessary for successful claims and reimbursement, and being the “voice of the payor” in strategic, technological, and clinical discussions across the company.


The ideal candidate has built favorable reimbursement conditions for innovative, first-in-category medical devices and can excel in strategic, operational, internal, and external environments.

As a Head of Market Access and Reimbursement at Eko, You Will:

  • Design and implement reimbursement strategies that optimize coverage and payment for Eko Health’s disease detection technology
  • Build and maintain relationships with commercial and Medicare payors
  • Secure favorable coverage decisions with CMS, MACs, commercial payors, and other relevant entities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop health economic models and clinical briefings to support reimbursement and market access initiatives
  • Ensure evidence strategy reflects market access needs, proactively soliciting feedback from the payor community (e.g., payor advisory boards) to shape study design and clinical priorities
  • Develop billing guides and educational materials, and deliver training to sales teams to ensure effective communication of reimbursement and claims pathways to customers
  • Educate customers on coding, coverage, and payment-related topics specific to Eko’s products and services
  • Represent Eko with industry associations and advocacy groups to influence changes favorable to Eko’s product portfolio 

As a Head of Market Access and Reimbursement at Eko, You Have:

  • 12+ years working in medical devices on market access and reimbursement
  • Demonstrated success achieving a favorable market access and reimbursement outcome for a category-creating medical technology from the ground-up
  • Eagerness to own Eko’s market access strategy and function, blending standard and innovative approaches to overcome challenges and accomplish significant goals 
  • Experience working in both commercial and Medicare
  • Experience with value-based commercial strategies 
  • Experience equipping and supporting a U.S. sales team on topics related to access 
  • Ability to be simultaneously strategic and hands-on

As a Head of Market Access and Reimbursement at Eko, Nice to Have:

  • Experience with diagnostics or disease detection solutions, multiple coding types and reimbursement programs (e.g., CPT, HCPCS, NTAP)
