The Opportunity
The Head of Learn & Grow (L&G) Operations will lead and oversee all elements of Learn & Grow operations for Egon Zehnder’s L&G function (L&G is Egon Zehnder’s global Learning and Development function). This role will part of the Global L&G team, will report to the Global Head of L&G, and will have people management responsibilities. This is a new role with potential and flexibility to shape the practices, processes, and systems for Global L&G. A successful candidate will show that they can oversee and master the many elements of Global L&G operations, and effectively work with the Global Head of L&G, Learning Designers, and Program Faculty. The ideal individual will display exceptional data and project management skills, while exhibiting ownership of the complex operations that support Egon Zehnder Learn & Grow.
What You’ll Do
Oversee and manage participant and program pipelines
- Oversee and manage the L&G journey for all colleagues at Egon Zehnder when it comes to their participation in L&G programs; this is referred to as managing participant pipelines, and is required on an ongoing basis for the different roles at the Firm (Consultants, Experts, Executive Assistants, and Global Functional roles)
- Serve as the primary owner of L&G data, including data management, analysis, and reporting; this includes maintenance of existing databases, replying to ad-hoc data requests, and proactively conducting long-term strategic analysis
- In relationship with Program Faculty, create and manage the participant pipelines for all programs, including sending invites, tracking responses, and engaging with participants and faculty
Lead venue sourcing and event planning for L&G programs
- Build and maintain the global venue strategy for L&G programs, including the completion of analysis that balances venue quality, participant experience, participant and faculty location, costs, and emissions
- Lead and/or oversee all aspects of event planning for L&G programs
- Build and maintain the L&G program calendar in partnership with Program Faculty and Learning Designers
- Oversee the L&G program budget in partnership with the Global Head of L&G
- Ensure adequate on-site operations support is provided for all L&G programs
Lead the L&G Ops team
- Provide ongoing guidance and support to team of three colleagues who work on L&G Operations
- In partnership with Global Head of L&G, serve as career mentor and guide to members of the L&G Ops Team
The five primary skills that we’re looking for in the Head of L&G Operations are listed below. These skills will be referenced throughout the hiring process and serve as the primary criteria for selecting candidates.
- Relevant experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience, including significant experience in learning and development operations and planning, ideally within a professional services firm. Former experience as a team leader is desirable, but not required.
- Data management, analysis, and reporting: strong skillset in data management, analysis, and reporting is required, ideally at an expert level; existing expertise in Excel is required, familiarity with Workday (or other learning management systems) is desirable.
- Team leadership and collaboration: strong team and people management skills, ability to collaborate with wide variety of stakeholders, clear and structured communication skills (both oral and written).
- Organized project management: able to manage multiple projects against set deadlines; strong capabilities in time management, pattern recognition, prioritization, and attention to detail are critical in this role.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: positive, can-do attitude with ability to both drive progress independently and collaboratively problem-solve in a fast-paced environment; ability to work in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and comfortable with the unknown.

- Travel: International travel is expected (average: 3-5 days every 2-3 months)
