Head of IT Procurement

About the role

We are looking for an experienced leader to our new IT Procurement team. This team is responsible for professionally procuring all IT related goods, licenses, and services in the joint If and Topdanmark business, as well as managing the relationships with all IT vendors. Good financial control and reporting comes with the territory. The team will be formed under the new leader’s management by integrating the IT procurement teams from If and Topdanmark. The new leader will also secure the integration and development of workflow tools and processes to match. Ability to grow and nurture a network of internal and external stakeholders is also very important part in this role.

About the team

IT Procurement is part of IT Operations, with the objective of delivering stable, flexible, and cost-efficient services to support If’s core business, keeping vital IT systems running at all relevant times. Adequate service contracts supporting this objective are necessary for success.

The team consists today of altogether 21 experience people organised in 4 departments/areas of responsibility. They are responsible for a significant contract portfolio and playing a crucial role in securing the cooperation of suppliers to support our high ambitions regarding operational excellence.

Who are you

You are an experienced leader who has the ability to lead other leaders and key specialists in an environment with high expectations on delivery precision. Coaching your team and help them grow in their careers is a large part of your leadership skills and you foster a collaborative environment where everyone thrives. You are a true network builder, and you collaborate with many internal and external stakeholders, (i.e., the team’s main clients (IT Engineering units), legal, and controlling) mainly on strategic level.

You also have

• Several years of leadership experience in which you have built and managed high-achieving and well-being-oriented teams.
• Leadership experience of leading other leaders
• Experience of financial responsibility to follow up and report on purchasing budgets. Analyse spending trends and pursue saving opportunities.
• Participated in previous procurement projects’ steering groups and strategic supplier governance.
• Proven track record of being a seasoned negotiator as you will act as the “escalation level” in contract negotiations.
• Competence to keep If IT Services A/S’s contract portfolio current and compliant, by developing and executing the contract lifecycle processes. 
• Legal knowledge on a working level and understand contractual matters emanating from written clauses.
• Excellent knowledge in English and one Nordic language; written and spoken.
