About Internal Audit

Sampo Group Internal Audit is responsible for internal audit activities within Sampo plc and its subsidiaries If Group (Nordic and Baltic) including Topdanmark Forsikring A/S (Denmark) and coordinates the audit work with Hastings Group (UK). The Internal Audit function is independent of business operations, and it evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness as well as the maturity of the internal control system within Sampo Group.

We are now looking for a Head of Internal Audit for the subsidiary Forsikringsselskabet Dansk Sundhedssikring (FDS). Dansk Sundhedssikring strengthens our customers' health when they experience challenges with their mental or physical well-being. Together, with PrimaCare and DSS Hälsa we form Oona Health A/S. Oona Health A/S is owned by Topdanmark Bidco A/S which is fully owned by If Holding Ltd (publ).

You will be part of Sampo Group Internal Audit function which consist of 15 auditors in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Estonia. The Sampo Group CAE reports functionally to the Sampo Group Audit Committee and to the Boards of Directors and administratively to the CEO. The internal audit work is carried out in compliance with the Global Internal Audit Standards.

About the role 

Internal Auditing is a unique way of working with the whole group from a high-level perspective, as well as supporting the business in improving their internal control, governance and risk management processes. We are looking to fill a position as Head of Internal Audit that can combine business knowledge, leadership skills and teamwork. The Head of Internal Audit for FDS will report to the Boards of Directors/Audit Committee of Dansk Sundhedssikring and to the Sampo Group Chief Audit Executive.

Your areas of responsibility will be to:

• Lead, and manage the internal audit work incl. resource allocation part time in Dansk Sundhedssikring

• Report to the Boards of Directors/Audit Committee of Dansk Sundhedssikring

• Manage the risk assessment and audit planning process

• Perform internal audits as a project leader or member in audit teams part time in Sampo Group Internal Audit

• Communicate audit results to management on various levels of the organisation

• Contribute to developing the competence within the team as well as the continuous improvement of our ways of working.

Who are you?

You are engaged in your work and have a proactive and structured way of working. We also expect you to have:

• Relevant university degree i.e. Master of Science in Business Administration and Auditing

• A minimum of 7 years’ experience of internal auditing

• Applicable professional certifications or a willingness to get it (CIA)

• A clear and comprehensive understanding of internal auditing and Global Internal Audit Standards

• Fluent in English and Danish skills both orally and written

• Structured and delivering on time
