About the Role: Head of Institutional Sales

Tothemoon is looking for a Head of Institutional Sales to lead and scale our institutional sales strategy, focusing on onboarding and nurturing relationships with hedge funds, family offices, asset managers, and other key institutional clients. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and shaping how Tothemoon engages with the institutional crypto trading ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Institutional Sales Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy targeting institutional clients, aligning with Tothemoon's growth objectives.

  • Industry Representation & Conferences: Represent Tothemoon at key industry events, panels, and conferences to showcase our institutional offerings, build brand awareness, and deepen relationships with prospective clients and partners.

  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Identify, engage, and close relationships with top-tier institutional prospects. Act as the executive sponsor for key accounts, ensuring long-term satisfaction and growth.

  • Revenue Ownership: Take full ownership of institutional revenue targets, ensuring consistent pipeline growth and conversion through data-driven planning and execution.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Marketing, Legal, Risk, and Compliance to deliver best-in-class solutions tailored to institutional needs.

  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitor movements to refine the go-to-market approach and identify new opportunities.

  • Executive Reporting: Regularly report on sales performance, client feedback, and market dynamics to the executive team, offering insights and recommendations for strategic decisions.

  • Team Leadership & Development: Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing institutional sales team, setting clear KPIs and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.

  • 7+ years of experience in institutional sales, trading, or business development within the crypto, fintech, or traditional finance sectors.

  • Proven success in acquiring and growing institutional relationships, ideally within a digital assets trading platform or brokerage.

  • Strong leadership experience with a track record of building and managing high-performing sales teams.

  • Deep understanding of institutional trading needs, digital assets infrastructure, and the competitive landscape.

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

  • Familiarity with crypto trading platforms, custody solutions, market making, and OTC services.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical and forecasting abilities.

  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, startup environment with evolving priorities.

  • Proficiency in CRM tools, sales analytics platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
