POSITION PURPOSE:

The Head of Institutional Marketing is a B2B position responsible for developing and driving marketing strategies to increase capital raising within the Institutional Channel (i.e. Public and Corporate Pensions, Global Insurance Companies, and Sovereign Wealth Funds). This newly created leadership role will serve as the primary marketing contact to the Institutional Sales and Portfolio Optimization (PO) Teams. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and present the annual marketing plans for the Institutional Distribution Channel while working closely with the Sales and PO teams.
  • Build integrated and individual marketing campaigns grounded in clear marketing briefs designed to attract and retain distribution channel partners.
  • Leverage Thought Leadership and Content as an important vehicle for both enhancing the CIM brand and engaging clients and prospects. This will be completed by partnering with internal Subject Matter Experts as well as external agency partners.
  • Leverage CRM tools and data to Implement sales-driven automated communication streams.
  • Define the target audience experience and content within cimgroup.com.
  • Work closely with the internal Shared Services/Creative, Digital Marketing, and Public Relations teams on both the development and execution of all campaigns.
  • Serve as a key partner to other internal shared service constituencies including Compliance, Legal, and Sales Operations.
  • Establish and report annual marketing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as well as individual campaign metrics.
  • Stay abreast of what competitors are doing from a marketing perspective and provide bi-annual assessments.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 12+ years’ experience in financial services marketing (including experience in institutional, corporate, and/or alternatives investments marketing)

Actual base salary considers several factors including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required. At CIM, base pay is one part of the total compensation package. For this role, bonus compensation may be a significant part of the total compensation. The anticipated base salary range for the position in New York is $180,000 - $250,000.
