Head of Infrastructure

About the Role: 

Pika is seeking an experienced Head of Infrastructure to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing the underlying architecture for large models, particularly LLMs. As a Head of Infrastructure at Pika, you will ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of our AI systems. 

Responsibilities: 

• Design and implement infrastructure solutions to support large-scale AI models and applications. 
• Oversee the deployment and maintenance of servers, networks, and cloud environments.
• Ensure server stability and promptly respond to server issues to minimize downtime.
• Ensure the infrastructure scales efficiently to meet the demands of large model training. 
• Work closely with the engineering teams to align infrastructure capabilities with business needs. 
• Continuously explore new technologies and methods to optimize infrastructure performance and cost-efficiency.
• Lead infrastructure engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering,  Information Technology, or related fields.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on large-scale systems and AI models. 
• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud. 
• Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, and storage solutions. 
• Experience with PyTorch or similar deep learning frameworks. 
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities. 
• Leadership experience with a track record of mentoring and developing teams.
• Former experience of working at startups is a plus.
