Head of Hardware Development

💡As a Head of Hardware Development, you’ll lead and manage teams of firmware, embedded and hardware engineers. If you have strong background in both hardware development and low-level code building, we encourage you to apply.

👉 What will your duties be?

• Deliver top-notch Trezor devices from both hardware and software level

• Oversee the teams of Firmware, Embedded, Hardware and soon “FW Modularisation”. Connect the world of HW and SW

• Set teams’ goals and make sure they are on track and delivered. Manage teams’ budgets

• Leading a team of developers, mentoring them, provide them with feedback

• Cooperate intensively with Head of Product

💪 What do we need from you?

• You have experience with building hardware products. Consumer electronics experience is a huge plus

• You are full-stack: you can read PCB design in Altium Designer, understand schematics, and know what it takes to deliver C drivers. On top of that, you have basic understanding of Python and what it takes to create cutting-edge consumer electronics product

• You have experience with people management, you are well-structured and able to deliver

• You have great communication skills and are fluent in both Czech and English

👉 What makes you the perfect candidate?

• You have experience with some of the following (ideally all):

  • PCB design

  • Embedded drivers (displays, batteries…)

  • C / Python / Rust languages

  • Working with chips from large semiconductor companies such as STM

  • Wireless products

  • Certification of products

  • Secure elements and/or System-in-Package solutions
