YOUR MISSION

1. Financial Management & Management Accounting: Oversee preparation of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and compliance with Global Procedures of the financial information.  Analyze income statements identifying weaknesses, potential costs savings and synergies areas with also focus on AR and inventory to develop NWC improvements plan.  Oversee the accounting activities to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and function, supervising company finance staff.

2. Budgeting/Forecasting: Direct the preparation and presentation of the annual budgeting / forecasting process and review in accordance with the PUMA Group policies, guidelines, and schedules.  Ensure the timely preparation and development of relevant business information to provide management with the tools for decision making.  Evaluate organizational performance against both budget and forecast, developing tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the Country Manager, making actionable recommendations.

3. Strategy and Risk Management: Develop detailed and meaningful analysis per country, business, and customers and over specific issues if needed, to provide to the General Manager and the Board all the instruments to make the best decision for the business.  Participate in key decisions pertaining to strategic initiatives, operating model, and operational execution.  Identify and review key business risks and develop strategies to minimize financial risks and losses.

4. Internal Controls: Ensure the maintenance of appropriate internal controls, financial procedures and implementing best practices according to PUMA Group policies. Provide insights and recommendations on improvements to the key stakeholders in the business and support management team to help to define effective controls.

5. Legal: Work closely with Area legal team to ensure legal compliance with local laws and PUMA Group Policies. Ensure compliant legal commercial framework within the Company and coordinate with consultants and relevant government authorities to ensure that PUMA is compliant.

6. People Management & Development: Ensure the effective achievement of Finance department functional objectives through the leadership of the Finance staff to maximize subordinate and departmental performance.  Ensure that the Finance Structure across the Business is staffed with appropriate caliber professionals and motivate, train, and develop them to perform their tasks as specified in their job descriptions.

YOUR TALENT

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting,

Certified Public Accountant

Chartered Accountant

Professional:

At least 10 years of working experience in Finance/Accounting and min 5 years in a Senior-Level Finance/Accounting position.

Preferably trained from big 4 for at least 3 years.

Industry: Retail, Sports, Fashion, FMCG,

IT Skills:

SAP / Hyperion,

Excellent MS-office

Knowledge (Excel, PowerPoint)

Language Skills:

English
