Purpose of the Role

The Laundress is a non-integrated business and as such, the Head of Finance is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of all Finance tasks across the business. This includes a wide berth of responsibilities, from oversight of the daily accounting operations and controls to business partnering and strategic leadership.

What You’ll Do

The Laundress Head of Finance key responsibilities will include the following:

Reporting and Controlling

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the Finance and Accounting department. These include, among others, account payable/receivable, cash management, payroll, treasury, and tax.

• Implement and maintain appropriate internal controls, aligned with the Unilever Alternative Financial Controls Framework (AFCF) for acquired business.

• Prepare monthly/quarterly/yearly financial and management reports in accordance with the relevant Unilever accounting standards and reporting requirements.

• Liaise with external & internal auditors, local banks and the relevant statutory body/government agency when and as necessary.

Performance Management

• Actively participate in driving growth and profitability, managing risks and opportunities, optimizing return of investment, and managing corporate costs and key P&L drivers to achieve annual Targets.

• Together with Supply Chain, drive a robust S&OP process. This involves analysis of volume trends, understanding volume sensitivity, overseeing the P&L cash-up, and establishing accountability in driving in-year forecast performance.

• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process for all expenditures: TTS, COGS, BMI and OH.

• Drive performance management linked to channel strategy (DTC, Amazon, Wholesale) including transparency to Channel P&Ls and investment decisions. This includes ensuring strong business models for our eComm channels as it relates optimizing margins, cost per acquisition and customer lifetime value.

• Contribute to the development of long-term strategy and financial models for the business.

Business Partnering

• Develop Innovation business cases

• Support cross-functional business partners in evaluating opportunities with P&L modeling and decision support. This includes, but is not limited to, evaluating new customer P&Ls, promotion opportunities, new business models (e.g. dropship), investment decisions and marketing initiatives.

• Act as a trusted advisor, offering strategic financial advice to drive business performance.

Knowledge and Skills, You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree, in relevant field with 8+ years of finance and/or accounting experience. MBA or professional accounting qualification (CPA, CMA) preferred.

• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems. Working knowledge of NetSuite is a plus.

• Experience working in a DTC or eComm business is a plus.

How we Reward: This position is bonus eligible.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $115,680 to $173,520. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs. 

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible. 

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
