The CFO ensures that Finance provides timely, accurate and independent information and analysis to key internal and external stakeholders. The CFO acts as the SME for financial/regulatory reporting in the country thereby ensuring that Deutsche Bank Paris branch meets its external reporting requirements. The position holder and team are responsible for the reporting of the financial position for DB Paris branch and further selected legal entities in France and act as the primary interface for Finance to the host regulatory bodies and local/regional management. They partner with country management to optimize local franchise performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Financial, Regulatory and Group Reporting information is delivered for DB Paris branch and local legal entities within remit, assure that accurate and timely financial information is provided to DBs internal and external stakeholders
• Oversee the control environment for the relevant branches/legal entities including an on-going assessment of the control environment, identification of risks (including raising of self-identified issues as appropriate) and determination and implementation of mitigants.
• Represent Finance on regional boards, operating committees and executive committees and interface with regulators, auditors, regional management and businesses.
• Assess and provide guidance on the impact of new activities and financial/regulatory requirements ; ensure analysis guidance and approval of business performance, strategic initiatives, and activities impacting legal entities as they relate to financial risks and accounting.
• Implement global/regional strategies (incl. acquisitions, divestment, realignments and material outsourcings) according to location requirement and country specific needs, providing insight from a local perspective into the development of global policies
• Taxation oversight and Treasury compliance, ensure adequate capital and liquidity positions as established by the existing rules / internal policies.
• Coordinate Country tax regarding various topics like local Transfer Pricing Documentation, Direct and Indirect Tax compliance and obligation, relationship with French authorities and the bank Tax Advisors; support to, liaison and oversight of DB Paris branch for tax risks and issues in conjunction with Group Tax .

Skills

• Understand Local Financial Regulations and EU Regulations, Strong understanding and experience of IFRS accounting standards, Local GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong technical accountant knowledge and experience in international investment banking environment mandatory (experience and understanding of investment and corporate bank products).
• Strong Financial Control focus including definition of framework, implementation and monitoring and proven track record of being a business partner able to drive key decisions and execute on change.
• Strong organizational and team management skills required, Focus on performance and professional development for themselves and the team.
• Master degree in business administration and or finance.
• Fluent in French and English communication and skilled at collaborating with diverse international teams and stakeholders (Business Head, local regulators, internal and external Auditors …).
