JOB TITLE: Head of E2E Chief Controls Office, Lending & Working Capital
LOCATIONS: Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Bristol
HOURS: Full-Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites
About this opportunity
You'll be responsible for strengthening the control environment and operational resilience for customer outcomes in Lending & Working Capital.
You’ll lead a team of c26 colleagues and engage within the Business and Technology Platforms, ensuring that new product propositions and transformations are delivered safely, with Consumer Duty at the heart and a Control by Design approach—designing risk out and regulatory compliance in from the beginning.

What you’ll be doing?
- Be a great partner to risk and control owners to support control environment improvements.
- Lead in the delivery of relevant regulatory submissions focusing on compliance with regulatory obligations and Consumer Duty.
- Supports the development and implementation of the control strategy across end-to-end business processes.
- Ensure all new products and customer propositions or material changes are fully aligned with regulatory obligations and Consumer Duty.
- Develop and implement an approach to map key risks and controls across end-to-end business processes and customer lifecycle outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with Platform teams to embed technical control capability including implementation and embedding of control by design.

What You’ll Need
- Excellent leadership capabilities with evidence of leading large teams successfully to achieve key business priorities.
- Excellent senior partner management, particularly at senior level.
- Excellent risk and control management capabilities, including control automation.
- Understand the key drivers and challenges facing Business & Commercial Banking colleagues and customers.
- Understand the current regulatory environment and impacts on Business & Commercial Banking.
- Able to proactively seek opportunities and deliver enhancements to improve the customer and colleague journey.
And any experience of these would be really useful:
- Understanding of emerging products, services and technologies in financial services.
- Ability to develop team to promote effective working, team performance and colleague development.
- Comfortable with analytical / financial assessment to develop recommendations and / or develop solutions to meet ongoing and future business needs.
