Job Description

Get to know the team:

  • The Deliveries team is in charge of running the delivery business of Grab in the Philippines, which include GrabFood, GrabMart, and GrabExpress.
  • The team is data-driven and possesses deep experience in product operations, marketplace, strategy, project management, and data analytics with a focus on solving tough, complex business and operational problems that address the needs of our stakeholders, which include eaters, delivery riders, and merchant partners.


Get to know the role:

  • Co-develop the overall strategy for the delivery business and be part of the end-to-end problem-solving process, which include building strategies for the next phase of growth, translating and localizing regional mandates for the local context, developing frameworks and structures to help solve business issues, making recommendations based on data analytics, creating execution plans, overseeing competitive tracking, and developing expansion and third-party hub strategies
  • Driving platform and merchant demand across the different in-scope verticals through promo and other demand-driving initiatives while keeping within the forecasted budget
  • Manage the P&L of in-scope verticals, which include GrabFood, GrabMart, and GrabExpress, making sure that numbers are properly forecasted, aligned with country and regional direction, and are on track to hit targets while making adjustments as needed
  • Oversee product operations as we roll out various products and features on the eater, delivery rider, and merchant partner apps, ensuring that impact is properly estimated, timelines are met, local teams are aligned, guardrails are kept, and products are optimized to achieve target metrics
  • Execute a broad set of special projects ranging from new businesses, organization design implementation, operational improvement, and cross-functional initiatives that serve stakeholders across different departments and verticals
  • Leading several well-rounded teams in a manner that optimizes collaboration across departments, efficiency, effectiveness, and work throughput while championing career development and personal well-being

 

The day-to-day activities:

  • Collaboration and communication with stakeholders across all levels of the business to implement recommendations
  • Evaluation of opportunities and issues
  • Development of potential action plans
  • Analysis of operational and market data to derive insights and recommendations
  • Problem-solving sessions where people debate and discuss how they are thinking about the problem at hand
  • Project management and tracking to achieve set goals

Qualifications

The must-haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, or any related fields; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 5-10 years in Strategy, Operations, Project Management, or Management Consulting
  • Analytical and Strategic Skills: Highly analytical with keen attention to details; proficient in both strategy and operations
  • Mission Alignment: Passionate about Grab's social mission; dedicated to positive impact internally and externally
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong motivator, collaborator, and negotiator; excellent communication skills; adept at influencing diverse groups
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset: Highly entrepreneurial, executional, resilient, and agile; self-standing with a strong drive for excellence and growth
  • Technical Competencies: Proficient in Microsoft and Google Workplace tools; demonstrated experience in driving transformative initiatives; SQL and Python knowledge preferred
  • Language Proficiency and Relationship Management: Excellent communication skills in English and Filipino; capable of managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders; proven track record in collaborating across functions for process development and strategic problem-solving
