About the role:


The Director, Brand Strategy is a key leadership role within the Global Marketing team at Avalere Health. In this role you will shape, develop, and lead a team of strategists who are focused on driving targeted, transformative insights, that fuel brand strategies, and behaviour-changing creative campaigns.


As an inspirational leader, you will consistently strive to anticipate changes in market conditions, develop recommendations that ensure competitive advantage, and influence meaningful change for our clients’ brands. You will have oversight of cross-functional activities and will help to enhance collaboration among strategy, scientific, creative, and account teams, to produce strategic recommendations that lead to significant brand results, while fostering an environment of continuous growth.

What you'll do:

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead brand strategy work across the agency addressing critical strategic challenges
  • Client Partnership: Establish credibility quickly with clients as a strong strategic partner, fostering upstream relationships to secure high-value strategic work
  • Communication Excellence: Create clear expectations on compelling communication in all verbal and written work for internal and external purposes
  • Team Development: Oversee global marketing strategy team development, ensuring clear objectives are set and success is tracked. Foster a culture of continuous learning, sharing, transparency, and collaboration
  • Innovation and Improvement: Drive innovation in service offerings, foster a culture of continuous learning and growth, sharing best practices across the organization
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with account, creative, and scientific teams to produce strategic recommendations that drive significant brand results
  • Brand Planning: Oversee brand planning functions within global marketing, collaborating with leads to drive industry-leading approaches compatible with diverse client needs

About you:

  • Expert understanding of brand strategy on Global and Regional EMEA accounts
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing senior strategists
  • Deep pharma knowledge across multiple therapy areas, including brand launch and creative AOR
  • Proven ability to anticipate account challenges based on lifecycle or competitive dynamics
  • Demonstrated capability in driving process development for global marketing

  • This role is integral to advancing Avalere Health's strategic initiatives by leveraging expertise in brand strategy while fostering an environment that values industry trends and collaborative growth. You are an integral member of the leadership team and will work to continually shape and drive the future success of Global Marketing business.
