We have a team of dedicated service advocates supporting our members (and potential members) with questions regarding
College Renters Insurance and Tuition Insurance. This growing team of 6 is the voice of GradGuard, delivering an exceptional member experience—reflected in our 4.9-star Google rating with more than 2,100 reviews. 

Now, we’re looking for a strong leader, we call the Head of Agency. Why is this position important? This is a pivotal role as we bring the claims process in-house for the first time in GradGuard’s history. It’s a game-changer, and we need an experienced leader who’s ready to take on the challenge and make a lasting impact. We’ll look to you to play a key role in shaping our claims operations while leading by example, setting clear expectations, and demonstrating them day in, day out.
This role is based at our Phoenix Office. 

 

Challenges you’ll focus on include:

  • Oversee the claims management process ensuring it exceeds expectations and reflects our commitment to service.
  • Design and implement strategies to boost member lifetime value through effective cross-sell. 
  • Foster a culture of high-quality, empathetic customer service within this team. 
  • Automate processes and explore innovative tools to drive efficiency and satisfaction.
  • Delighting insureds before, during and after their insurance purchase, including through the claims process.
  • Handling customer concerns or complaints.
  • Educating direct-reports to understand and apply an insurance policy to a unique set of facts.

The person we’re looking for has a proven, successful background with:

  • Wealth of experience and expertise within the insurance sector, to lead a customer relationship and claims team. 
  • Data-driven and experienced with strategic marketing initiatives. 
  • Managing teams of insurance claim handlers, preferably on property and casualty insurance products.
  • Rules, regulations and best practices surrounding the sale of insurance and handling of insurance claims.
  • Exceptional communication and personable skills, which connects you with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • CRM and marketing automation platforms.
  • Claims management systems and how to maximize efficiency with these tools.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

  • Licensed as an insurance producer or insurance adjuster in your home state.
  • Experience with Accident and Health Claims, fraud detection, and mitigation.
