The Government Contracts Specialist is responsible for supporting the Military/Government group of Satcom Direct Government, Inc. (SDG). The position will assist with multiple elements of government contracts and acquisition, working in conjunction with Legal, Accounting, Program Management, Sales & Business Development in support of contract administration and management.

How will you make a difference?

  • Draft and negotiate contractual agreements such as Non-disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Master Service Agreements, Task Orders and modifications.
  • Analyze contract requirements, special provisions, terms, and conditions to make sure they comply with relevant laws, regulations, corporate policies, and department procedures
  • Knowledge and experience with COR administration, preparation of contract files and required documents including, but not limited to, Determination and Findings, Market
  • Research Reports, Price Negotiation Memorandums, deliverables, and performance work statements/statements of work
  • Prepare and administer representations & certifications, routine correspondence, negotiation memos, and contract documentation to ensure timely and coordinated submittal
  • Create, organize, and maintain records and files documenting contract performance and compliance
  • Perform contract closeout activities
  • Assist internal or external business teams on issues and developments related to contracts
  • Build and submit reporting for various agencies

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience within the US Military or US Government
  • 4 years of prior relevant experience in Contracts Management, GSA contracts and/or Government/DoD Procurement Management
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, secret clearance preferred

Required Skills, Experience & Talent

  • Prior experience with managing company GSA Schedules: reporting, modifications, fees, sub-K plans, and more
  • Knowledge of U.S. Government/DoD procurement regulations such as the FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulations 
  • Experience with contract types such as fixed-price, time and material, cost reimbursable, and General Service Administration (GSA) schedules, such as government-wide acquisition contracts, BPAs, and IDIQs
  • Ability to effectively interface at all levels of company management
  • Has worked with Government and other customer organizations

Preferred Skills, Experience & Talent

  • Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) certification or equivalent
  • Excellent communications skills. Effectively communicate via formal letters complicated and sensitive subjects, possess proper email skills, and possess excellent verbal communication skills
  • Skills/Specialties: Contract Management, Project Management, Strong communication, writing, verbal skills. Strong working knowledge of the MSOffice Suite (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint)

Equal Pay Disclosure(s)

Base Pay:

72,000.00 - 90,000.00 USD Annual

Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:

Bonus Plan at 10% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
