Get to Know the Team

The Growth Data Science team is a key component of our regional growth strategy. We focus on creating and implementing innovative approaches to drive growth through performance marketing automation, machine learning models, geospatial insights, user lifecycle and funnel optimisation, behavioural forecasting, and other advanced analytics methods. Our work spans across transportation, food, fintech, logistics, and platform services.

Get to Know the Role 

You will report to the Senior Manager, Growth Data Science - Digital Marketing in a hybrid work arrangement. You will leverage data to solve growth-related challenges, and aim to set higher standards for our team and stakeholders. You will utilise hyper-personalisation, demand generation, and user retention techniques to achieve our objectives.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Orchestrate end-to-end data science processes for performance marketing campaigns.
  • Design and implement essential SQL data pipelines to create and maintain vital dashboards, serving as the primary source of truth for management teams.
  • Conduct advanced statistical analysis and integrate machine learning models, simulating their impact on the platform for actionable business insights.
  • Conceptualise analyses and communicate findings across business stakeholders and country marketing teams.
  • Develop and execute analyses or A/B tests to validate experiments and models, performing detailed analyses to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicate problem formulation, solutions, analyses, and insights to team members and stakeholders.
  • Build, validate, test, and deploy models and algorithms using both established and experimental techniques.
  • Define hypotheses and conduct necessary tests, experiments, and analyses to validate them.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a focus on large datasets, user behaviour, or optimisation techniques.
  • At least 5 years of relevant post-degree experience solving large-scale problems within app-based industries, online marketplaces, transport, or logistics.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualisation.
  • Proficiency in Big Data architecture and frameworks.
  • Solid understanding of ETL pipelines, SQL, and programming languages like R and Python.
  • Familiarity with computing platforms such as Spark, Airflow, and Presto/Trino on multi-cloud environments like Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Knowledge of performance marketing concepts and tools, with experience in platforms like Salesforce, Adobe, HubSpot, or similar systems being advantageous.
  • Experience in digital/mobile marketplace marketing, with a focus on customer lifecycle data, geospatial, and mobility data.
  • Development experience with visualisation tools like Power BI, Tableau, or open-source visualisers (e.g., R Shiny).
  • Ability to present complex subjects coherently to non-domain experts and business leaders.
