A Day in the LifeAre you ready to join our team in Heerlen and lead the operators in manufacturing operations and provide guidance to the team?
You will be the motivator in the team and set up and operate automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Report any malfunctions or abnormalities in machines, with higher levels recommending and/or making adjustments to methods and processes.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse.
- Use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting.
- Follow shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements
- Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment
- (un)pack or (un)wrap items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc
- Verify quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications;
- Log receipts of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Requires broad knowledge of operational systems and practices typically gained through prior work experience and/or education.
- Requires minimum of 4 years of experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.
- May require vocational training and/or certification.
