Job Title: Group Leader – Data Analytics & Strategy
Location: Pune
Position Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Digital Lead with 13+ years of experience to spearhead our data-driven transformation initiatives. This leadership role will be responsible for defining and executing data strategies, creating roadmaps, and driving analytics to support informed decision-making across the organization. The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in data analytics, digital strategy, and people management, with experience leading a team of 10+ data engineers with further growth prospects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute a data and analytics strategy aligned with organizational goals, enabling data-driven decision-making and innovation within the scope of work
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of 10+ data engineers and analytics professionals, fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with stakeholders within the identified domain/value chain that are primary responsibility and at VOICE level, to identify use cases for prioritization and execution
- Deliver insights that drive strategy, improve operations, and support business growth.
- Leverage advanced analytics techniques and data science methodologies to unlock business insights, improve data accuracy, and enhance predictive capabilities.
- Establish and oversee data governance and quality frameworks to ensure data accuracy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Define, monitor, and report on key performance indicators and data metrics, providing insights to executive leadership to support data-driven strategy.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in data infrastructure, tools, and processes, ensuring that the organization remains at the forefront of analytics innovation.
- Build and lead training initiatives to enhance data literacy across the organization, empowering teams to leverage data in their decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field; an advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., in Data Science, Machine Learning, or Analytics) is preferred.
- 13+ years of overall experience with at least 5 years in data analytics and roadmap execution.
- Proven expertise in data analytics, data engineering, and digital transformation, with a successful track record of executing data-driven strategies.
- Strong technical proficiency in data analytics tools, platforms, and frameworks (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI, cloud data platforms).
- Demonstrated experience leading large analytics or data engineering teams and managing cross-functional projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
