About the Role

As a Graphic Designer, your role involves creating visually compelling designs that align with brand guidelines and support marketing and communication strategies. You will collaborate with Marketing, Content Development, and Product teams to develop graphics for digital, print, and social media platforms. Your responsibilities include designing graphics, layouts, and illustrations for campaigns and promotional materials. You will ensure all designs meet high-quality standards and deadlines. Staying updated with industry trends, managing multiple projects, maintaining organized files, and providing creative input are essential to enhance the brand's visual identity. Proactive problem-solving and attention to detail are key to improving the design process and output.

Responsibilities

Design and Development of Visual Assets:

  • Create visually compelling and brand-consistent assets for various platforms, including covers for online courses, social media, print materials, and marketing campaigns.
  • Develop high-quality graphics, illustrations, icons, and layouts that effectively communicate the intended message and align with the overall brand strategy.

Asset management

  • Organizing and managing design files and assets according to the team’s standards.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and content teams, to gather requirements and ensure the timely delivery of design assets.
  • Provide design expertise and input during brainstorming sessions and project meetings, ensuring that all visual assets meet project goals and objectives.
  • Ensure accuracy in the status update of each ticket to get assigned to.
  • Work closely with the Creative Ops Specialist and escalate roadblocks to the Creative Ops Specialist when needed.

Quality Control and Optimization:

  • Maintain a high standard of quality for all design assets by conducting thorough reviews and ensuring adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Continuously seek feedback and implement improvements to enhance the effectiveness and aesthetic appeal of visual assets, staying updated with industry trends and best practices

Technical Competencies:

  • Graphic Design Software Proficiency: Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Sketch, Figma, and other design tools.
  • Typography: Understanding of typefaces, font selection, kerning, leading, and overall typography principles.
  • Color Theory: Knowledge of color models (RGB, CMYK), color psychology, and the ability to create harmonious color palettes.
  • Layout and Composition: Skills in grid systems, balance, visual hierarchy, and the rule of thirds.
  • Digital Design: Proficiency in designing for digital platforms, including websites, mobile apps, and social media.
  • Illustration: Ability to create custom illustrations and vector graphics.
  • Photo Editing and Manipulation: Skills in retouching, compositing, and enhancing images.
  • File Management: Proficiency in organizing and managing design files and assets.
  • Branding: Ability to create and maintain a consistent visual identity across all platforms.
  • Collaboration Tools: Proficiency in using tools like Slack, Dropbox, Drive, and other project management and communication tools.
  • Quality Control: Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high production quality standards, ensuring final graphic assets meet Mindvalley's standards.

  • Creativity: Ability to think outside the box and come up with innovative and original design concepts.
  • Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and solve complex production challenges, ensuring projects are completed successfully.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of graphic design experience (preferably in an agency/design firm setting) with a proven track record of successful project deliveries.
  • BA or BFA in graphic design or interaction design is required
  • Must have acute attention to detail and be able to work on multiple simultaneous projects and timelines;
  • Strong knowledge of all industry-standard design software (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • A creative problem solver with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
