What does our Global Creative Studio team do?
The Global Creative Studio team within US Marketing, Brand and Global Strategic Initiatives supports the creative strategy and execution across Franklin Templeton’s global business functions.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Graphic Designer?
The Graphic Designer at Franklin Templeton is a mid-level Graphic Designer looking to master all channels of Graphic Design. They will work to gain accredited proficiency in all aspects of the Franklin Templeton Creative Studio offering, Layout, Concepting, Typography, Basic Video Editing, Basic online banner creation and Proofing to the Franklin Templeton Accessibility standard, (WCAG 2.1AA). They are looking to push the boundaries of those proficiencies and add further pillars to the Franklin Templeton Creative Studio offering. Reporting to the Creative Director for US Marketing, Brand and Global Strategic Initiatives, they are expected to deliver creative initiatives, from inception to execution.
Production & Design
Effective workflow management: Proactively project manage workflow across all areas of production, working with the Creative Director, Lead Graphic Designers and Production Manager to set priorities as new work comes in and communicate changes to delivery dates. Responsibility for on-time delivery of regional collateral/digital assets, (video, online banners, imagery and presentations etc.) Would be expected to manage specific projects in US time zones.
Relationship Building
Develop strong and professional relationships with Partners on a day-to-day basis. Querying edits, investigating briefs and liaising. With responsibility for tracking and executing jobs in progress.
Working with Creative Studio team members to co-ordinate on Creative Projects as well as taking direction from the Creative Director or Lead Graphic Designer.
Efficiencies
Mastered all aspects of the FT Creative Studio offering and continue to put them in practice in Workflow Management. Exploring further the FT Creative Studio offering and suggesting further expertise. Continually exploring areas of efficiency improvements in the production process to help facilitate delivery of information faster

Develops and produces layouts for publishing in a range of mediums including basic video, digital and print. To a Franklin Templeton accredited standard.

Uses industry standard software and related technologies e.g. Adobe Creative Suite & Figma. To a Franklin Templeton accredited standard.

Ability to work directly with clients to explore briefs and walk through the design process.

Explores common design problems and seeks creative solutions, working within a small team.
What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or equivalent experience

2-5 years of related experience

Experience in Financial Services an advantage but not a pre-requisite

Proficient in graphic design and editing tools such as Adobe Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Premier, After Effects, (Adobe Creative Cloud) and Figma.

Solid understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

Requires strong knowledge and experience in Graphic Design and Presentations

Continues to build knowledge of the company, processes and customers

Performs a range of assignments related to graphic layout

Uses prescribed guidelines or policies in analyzing situations

Works independently, with guidance in complex situations
