Internship Program Summary 

Are you a 2025 college graduate or rising college senior? AbelsonTaylor Group is looking for 9 Chicago area-based interns to join our 2025 Summer Internship Program, nextgenerATion.   

Our internship program offers a rewarding experience that fosters creativity, collaboration, and inclusivity. You’ll collaborate with professionals across all levels, gaining hands-on experience to give you a competitive edge in your career. During the program, you’ll have the chance to engage with teams from various departments. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with fellow interns on an exciting, summer-long group project!  

Graphic Design Intern 

Graphic Designers are responsible for the visual tone, appearance and overall aesthetic of client/internal projects. Designers are an integral part of the creative process and realize the team’s ideas from sketch to final layout through visually exciting executions.

What You'll Do 

  • Assists the Art Director/Copywriter in establishing visual tone with emphasis on typography, color and visual hierarchy
  • Develop and execute high-quality multimedia designs for a variety of campaigns and digital projects
  • Participate in concept development and design of traditional advertising, digital and video projects
  • Responsible for the proper and accurate position of every pixel within a project
  • Constantly explores online design innovations and incorporates these into the work
  • Works daily with the Creative Manager to ensure all deliverables and deadlines are met
  • Assists in developing presentation decks, brand guidelines, video assets, case studies, social media assets, banner campaigns etc.
  • Collaborates with other interns to produce cross departmental projects

Who You Are 

  • A graduating senior (2025) or an undergraduate junior (graduating 2026)
  • Brings a positive “can-do” attitude to work everyday
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and deadline-oriented
  • Current university enrollment in an accredited degree-seeking academic program, Graphic Design major preferred
  • Highly versatile design skills. Portfolio necessary.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Experience with video editing or motion graphics software, such as Adobe Premiere

Compensation Range: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour. The starting salary offer will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. The company reserves the right to adjust this pay range at any time.
