Job Summary
As the Global Technical and Process Engineering Director, you are accountable for for the global strategic projects execution delivering bottom line improvement, business process standardization and optimization and services continuous improvement. This includes driving, managing and advancing short- and long-term global strategic projects, manufacturing footprint optimization, materials harmonization and simplification, portfolio transformation, sustainability, leading cross-functional project teams, develop comprehensive project plans, and successful execution of projects from inception to completion. You will report to the VP Global Operational Excellence - Taste
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with global teams on margin improvement projects, including raw materials localization, formula review, and ingredients substitution.
- Develop innovative solutions for raw materials and formulas to meet evolving regulatory standards.
- Conduct technical reviews and approve new or optimized formulas.
- Lead process improvement activities related to cleaning, process control, and equipment optimization.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing and non-conformance investigations.
- Support quality teams with sensory evaluation, customer inquiries, and stability testing.
- Review and optimize material use based on specifications.
- Scale up new technologies and processes to fit site production equipment.
- Work with Technical Flavorists to address raw material availability challenges and optimize product localization.
- Collaborate with IC&D, Procurement, and Quality teams on product development, experiments, stability tests, troubleshooting, and vendor improvement.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or similar field
- 10+ years of Process Engineering within Food/Flavors industry
- 5+ years of Technical Flavors experience (Flavors/Raw Materials/IC&D)
- Proven success in leading cross-functional teams
- Ability to travel 25% of the time
