The Product Owner is responsible for a multitude of responsibilities. Those responsibilities include but are not limited to leading and directing product lifecycles, cross-functional product teams, owning a balanced product scorecard, and providing input to drive market penetration and growth objectives

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drives the product lifecycle planning processes for cross-functional teams while prioritizing projects from NPI to Growth to End of Life.
  • Collaborates with a wide variety of cross functional areas and outside vendors to develop and refine a product responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
  • Drives critical scorecard measures (growth, service levels, COGS attainment, etc.).
  • Translates product strategy into detailed requirements and needs for cross-functional teams.
  • Leads meetings for products and gains understanding of use / voice-of-customer / product issues / required changes.
  • Serves as primary point of contact for products, acting as a critical link between cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations, R&D, Tech Services, Regulatory, Finance, etc.).
  • Manages pipeline of global opportunities for products.
  • Conveys intimate knowledge of products to ensure that decisions are rooted in understanding of customers needs while effectively cascading information to organization.
  • Develops, recommends and coordinates pricing strategies including analyzing costing, previous adoption rates, competitive information, and price list generation.
  • Participates in product development teams to support launch of newly developed products.
  • Keeps abreast of regulation, market and competitive changes that affect their product lines.
  • Manages day-to-day product related tasks including design of packaging, literature, technical materials, and website listings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in a related field
  • 2 to 3 years of related experience; and/or combination of education and experience required.
