The Global Product Manager plays a pivotal role in the development, enhancement, and successful management of the product portfolio. The position is responsible for overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from conception to end-of-life, and ensuring that the products meet and exceed customer expectations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, market analysis, and a deep understanding of industry trends will be crucial in this role.

Requirements

Product Strategy and Planning:

· The Product Manager creates and manages the product playbook.  Understanding the product history, product technology, target customers, competition, and product value proposition.  The product manager will be the company’s product champion at all levels of the business.

· Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and market demands.

· Lead voice of customer interviews and collect market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.

· Define and prioritize product features, enhancements, and new developments based on market feedback and business objectives.

· Develop product marketing communication objectives and materials.

· Analyze our company’s products relative to competitive products and assess strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in each market segment.

· Lead the effort to research and establish the market sizes and our participation by product for the industries and geographical regions we serve.

· Specifying and overseeing the research needed to determine the needs and desires of customers

Sales and Marketing:

· Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer support teams to gather feedback and insights from customers.

· Work with marketing to execute tactical activities based on go-to-market product strategies.

· Provide product training and support to teams to ensure a deep understanding of product features and benefits.

· Support sales teams with timely turnarounds regarding product costing, product positioning, and project discounting analyses.  Ensuring that discounting authority levels are followed and escalated as needed.

· Lead the scheduling and deployment of the Product Roadshow trailer and ensure that the equipment is properly maintained for our sales channel’s use with customers.

Product Profitability

· Forecast yearly product volumes based on market data and sales territory feedback.

· Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product financial performance and identify areas for improvement.  KPI’s include product profitability, volume trends, wins/losses, quotation trends, MRO/projects by market, sales channel, geography, etc.

· Recommend pricing strategies for different markets and global territories to grow revenue.

· Manage the global sales discount approval process and ensure we follow our delegation of authority process.

Product Development and Innovation:

· Support the NPD stage gate process as needed with sales and marketing support.

· Identify and propose new product development projects and product enhancements based on market demand and product portfolio gaps. 

· Ensure that product designs align with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.

· Foster industry and trade organization relationships to capture next-generation pressure management market opportunities.

Customer Relationship Management:

· Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers to understand their evolving needs and preferences.

· Address customer concerns and feedback, working to continuously improve product satisfaction.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Science, Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience

· A minimum of 5 years of product, engineering, or commercial experience along with an established track record of leadership across disciplines and functions

· An MBA degree is preferred.

TECHNICAL / FUNCTION SPECIFIC:

· In-depth working knowledge of all products, applications, installation instructions and product-related procedures.

· Intermediate math skills

· Intermediate reading skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and ability to use persuasion to accomplish objectives

· Working knowledge of computers sufficient to successfully use company ERP system, Salesforce and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).

· Ability to stay on task and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines

· Positive attitude and ability to work well with others, including peers, supervisors, executive management and outside vendors, representatives and visitors

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Physical ability to meet the travel requirements of the position

· Ability to sit for extended periods, up to eight hours per day, though possibly more

· Sufficient manual dexterity to successfully use a computer

· Sometimes required to stand and/or walk, up to 1 hour per day, and make occasional trips from the office area to the manufacturing area.

· Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes.

· Ability to support the physical activities of operating the Roadshow trailer.  (i.e. opening the doors, relocating the generator, setting up the table(s), relocating storage boxes, connecting trailer, etc.
