Job Description

Cricut is seeking a passionate and strategic Hardware Product Manager to drive the development and launch of innovative hardware products, including our smart cutting machines and accessories. You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, customer-delighting hardware that enhances Cricut’s ecosystem. This role requires a well-rounded professional with experience in hardware product management, a strong track record of innovation, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Key member of product team. Help define and execute the product vision and roadmap for Cricut’s hardware portfolio, aligning with company goals and customer needs. Develop strategies to drive incremental revenue, improve quality, and enhance user experience.
  • End-to-End Product Development: Lead the hardware product lifecycle from concept to launch, including ideation, requirements definition, prototyping, testing, and market entry. Collaborate with engineering, design, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure products meet performance, cost, and timeline goals.
  • Innovation Leadership: Champion innovative hardware solutions by leveraging consumer insights, market trends, and emerging technologies. Lead business case investigations and concept assessments to obtain executive approval on roadmap planning. Drive creative problem-solving to deliver groundbreaking products.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software, consumables, marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware with Cricut’s ecosystem (e.g., materials, apps). Build strong relationships to drive alignment and execution.
  • Market & Consumer Insights: Partner with Cricut’s research team to conduct market research and analyze consumer behavior to inform product decisions. Monitor competitive landscapes and identify opportunities to differentiate Cricut’s hardware offerings.
  • Quality & Risk Management: Work with quality engineering to assess risks and ensure hardware meets high standards. Support compliance testing and drive continuous improvement.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor product performance post-launch, track KPIs, and iterate based on customer feedback and business outcomes.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred

Experience:

  • 3+ years of product management experience with consumer hardware products (e.g., consumer electronics, crafting tools, or similar).
  • Proven track record of delivering innovative hardware products from idea to launch. Experience with smart devices or IoT products is a plus.
  • Well-rounded background in product development, including exposure to engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain processes.
  • Experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments, ideally in consumer electronics, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or creative technology sectors.

Skills:

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to develop robust product strategies in ambiguous, non-structured environments.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills to align stakeholders and present compelling product narratives.
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in statistical data analysis, consumer insights, and market research.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Arena) and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Knowledge of hardware quality processes (e.g., DOE, 8D, CAPA) and compliance standards (FCC/CE/UL) preferred.

Personal Attributes:

  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a “cheetah speed” mindset to move quickly and adapt.
  • Passion for creativity, crafting, or DIY culture, with a deep commitment to delighting customers.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams, act like an owner, and foster a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Cricut products or similar crafting technologies.
  • Background in managing hardware-software ecosystems or connected devices.
  • International product management experience, with an understanding of global supply chains and markets.
  • Bilingual abilities or international business experience.

Here’s what makes someone a great fit for this role (and for this moment at Cricut):

You have a bias for urgency.

You’re proud of your work and protective of your reputation. You take ownership, deliver quality, and don’t cut corners. You hold yourself accountable without waiting to be asked.

You stay focused when things are moving fast.
You can identify what really matters and don’t get distracted by noise. You prioritize well, and manage your time wisely.

You collaborate like a pro.
You elevate the people around you, communicate clearly, and give thoughtful feedback. You’re low ego, high output—and your team loves working with you.

One More Thing (It’s a Big One):
This role is in-office at least 3–4 days per week.
We believe that real collaboration, innovation, and culture are built face-to-face. If you’re energized by working alongside smart, kind, creative people—and enjoy those unplanned hallway conversations that spark great ideas—you’ll love it here.

If you’re looking for a fully remote role, this likely isn’t the right time or place. But if you’re excited by challenge, purpose, and building something better, we’d love to hear from you.

Let’s make something amazing—together.
