GENERAL DESCRIPTION 

Sabre seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist with the implementation of diverse internal communications projects. The primary focus of the Global Communications Intern role is to support and help execute a variety of intranet engagements, strategic communications and other ad hoc needs. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of communications while working in a casual, yet fast-paced, hybrid work environment. Reporting to the Director of Strategic and Executive Communications, this internship role will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives and amplify employee engagement and related programs 
 
The Communications Intern will help plan communications strategies, programs or activities that address specific business issues or employee needs and achieve desired results. This role will also develop well-crafted written material for a variety of audiences through various communication channels. The Global Communications Intern will support strategic communication plans to boost engagement while supporting our Sabre vision to be the most valued global technology platform in travel. 
 
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Become familiar with the back-end content management system for the company’s intranet/central communication platform (SabreSync) 

  • Curate, review and publish articles for SabreSync to drive team member engagement and support other internal campaigns 

  • Develop strategies to encourage more interactivity on the intranet (e.g., comments, likes, sharing of content, etc.), improving employee participation and creating a sense of community 

  • Learn SabreSync analytics reporting to track content performance, engagement rates and overall intranet usage patterns 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts across departments and time zones to gather insights to create and deliver on-demand communications that align with business priorities  

  • Assist with various internal communications initiatives, such as team town halls, email broadcasts, employee engagement campaigns, etc.  
     

PREFERRED SKILLSETS & EXPERIENCE 

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree with graduation after August 2025

  • Interest in developing communications strategies through various channels

  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills, with the ability to creatively tell stories and adjust tone and style based on communication channel 

  • Fully competent in Microsoft Office, especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel 

  • Website management experience a plus, but not required 

  • Strong personal communication skills; ability to interact with and influence people at all levels 

  • Able to set priorities, be driven and excel with minimal handholding  

  • Keen attention to detail, strong copywriting and editing skills 

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously 

  • Must have an affinity for the travel and technology industry 

  • An outgoing and engaging personality; loves to collaborate and have fun!
