The VP & Global Brand Lead, Respiratory is accountable for the brand franchise globally leading a direct team of strategy, communication, design and innovation experts with oversight more widely across Expert, CBIA and further across cross function technical teams. Sitting on the Category Lead Team, the GBL is accountable for the global brand sales, share and penetration performance as well as long term brand equity. You’ll set the strategy for growth, deliver a programme of innovation and marketing tools to the BU’s and unite and inspire the organisation to execute with brilliance.
You’ll be responsible for setting inspiring direction on your portfolio of brands, building category leading growth and brand equity and creating superior, consumer first innovation with disruptive activation plans to drive growth. Accountable for in-year planned sales and share, as well as long term growth trajectory of the brands and the total Respiratory sub-category, you’ll expertly balance the business needs of today with a clear vision of the future. This is a highly matrixed role, intersecting right across the business from working with LOC’s and BU’s, gathering insight & spotting opportunity, partnering with technical experts in R&D and QSC, with creative agencies. You will orchestrate this matrix to create a powerful pipeline of brand assets across all marketing levers including comms, innovation and at shelf.
The ability to create a powerful vision, influence and engage support from across the organisation to ensure outstanding execution is key. You will lead a team of 12 co-located in Nyon, alongside the Pain & Topical Health Category Leadership plus ‘squad’ leaders of Digital, Design, Insights, Media, Content and R&D, Regulatory, Supply & Finance. You’ll expertly prioritise and build strong relationships and influence a complex network across the globe to deliver.

The role is highly multi-cultural in nature and the successful candidate will need to inspire and engage with customer-facing teams across the globe, adapting their approach to reflect diversity in culture, capability, language and thinking styles.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving consumer and customer obsession, business results and ensuring ongoing commercial success for this critical Haleon brand portfolio and sub-category. They will be responsible for delivering sub-category strategy, winning commercial marketing strategies, success guides and toolkits for activation and amplification by the local business teams. They will act as a key support and input in strategizing and delivering growth for the Region Commercial Heads of Americas. EMEA and APAC (Asia Pacific).
The role requires the ability to solve complex problems and inspire at a strategic and a global level ensuring that strategies deliver growth across a wide diversity of markets by interfacing with ‘design’ markets as a proxy for focused global growth. This is a highly visible role and the successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a high level of impact, both in personal style and through business results.

Vision, strategy and planning Use consumer, expert and shopper data & insight to identify patterns and opportunities to develop a compelling long-term vision and portfolio for Respiratory power brands to develop sustained Category Growth. Clearly able to demonstrate superiority vs competition. Using a global mindset, you need to inspire and influence stakeholders across BU’s to align on a common direction with skilful use of judgement to account for cluster flex as appropriate.

Sustainable growth Design and deliver a winning market growth strategy that delivers in year and for the long term across penetration, equity, sales and share. Strong commercial acumen and global P&L experience are needed to maximise marketing levers to greatest effect.

Brand building Able to get inside a brand, capable of starting with a blank piece of paper, to build a compelling and differentiated long term proposition. Comfortable with writing a brief from scratch, working with agency partners and experienced in creative & digital asset production, VBL & connections plan development, ability to unlock insights across cultures, proficient in science enabled concept origination and qualification, range choices and price and promotional strategies.

Winning organisation and culture Creating a strong culture through a diverse team that fosters superior brand thinking, blending strong marketing discipline with entrepreneurship to push boundaries and win in market. You’ll need to be a great coach of your team and to build trusting relationships around the globe with agency, regional and BU colleagues to enable seamless delivery of plans. Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

Relevant business degree.

Demonstrable experience and across Respiratory and OTC consumer health products.

Significant strategic marketing experience in developed and emerging markets including positioning, research, innovation, digital & multi-media communications on major FMCG/Health brands.

Extensive digital experience both in communication and innovation.
-
Global brand building experience, deep consumer/expert/shopper/retail understanding.
-
Deep technical experience of E2E brand building from strategy setting, brand building, (including Creative Idea development from brief), building strong relationships with agencies/partners, innovation & expert through to local execution across levers.

Have had full accountability for delivery of a meaningful P&L (requiring resource allocation) at a BU or regional level delivered through a team of scale and seniority.

Demonstrate leadership with team clearly enrolled in ambitious vision.

Diverse experience across some of: Geographies, culture, development stage.

Experience of Local and BU/Regional marketing in consumer, expert ideally as well as sales/commex experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
