As a GL Accountant, you will be responsible for general accounting services provided to various National Accounting Centers (NAC) and business units (SBU) with an accent on the accuracy, timeliness, and compliance. You will participate in a brand new project and transition of general accounting from PPG entity to SSC Brno.
Key Responsibilities
- General accounting according to US GAAP standards
- Fixed assets accounting
- Treasury activities
- Intercompany accounting of transactions among PPG affiliates
- Month-end closing accounting and related activities
- Accurate and timely account analysis of assigned balance sheet accounts
- Identification and correction of common accounting issues
- Partnership and support to business partners (NAC, SBU, other SSC teams)
- Data gathering for internal and external audit purpose
- Administrative tasks related to the position
Qualifications
- Education in accounting/finance (High-school or University degree)
- Working experience in a similar role in a multinational company– is an advantage
- Fluent English language
- PC skills (MS Office, Microsoft Dynamics AX is an advantage)
- A strong team player with the ability to learn and work alone when necessary
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- IFRS or USGAAP knowledge/experience – is an advantage
