The G/FORE Photo Retoucher is responsible for retouching on-figure and product images for all G/FORE Channels; digital and print. This position will partner with the Creative and Studio teams to ensure all images are up to brand standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Editing video footage for media platforms such as gfore.com, TikTok, and Instagram, as needed.
  • Perform video and image quality assurance prior to delivery to ensure correct file naming, pixel dimensions, margins, colour space, cropping, colour, quality standards, etc.
  • Partner with the Photo Studio Manager to optimize retouching
    efficiency and meet brand standards.
  • Coordinate with art directors, photographers, studio team and cross functional teams to execute image workflow through to all channels under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate the ability to carefully listen to others at all levels in the organization.
  • Possess strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Understand and uphold color management and theory.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Understanding of color management policies and best practices.
  • Knowledge of the commercial printing process and working in the CMYK environment as well as RGB digital usage needs.
  • Ability to learn and master proprietary internal tools such as Global Edit, Capture One, and Adobe Suites.
  • Accustomed to the intensity of a fast-paced environment with constant deadlines; the ability to manage time, mulit-task, and make decisions effectively.
  • Self-driven and able to easily communicate and collaborate in a team
    environment.
  • Productivity-focused and proven to be a quick problem solver with strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively receive and communicate feedback with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Possess a high standard for on-time delivery of department projects.
  • Must be forward thinking and anticipatory with ability to make educated decisions quickly based on complete knowledge of company and business objectives.
  • Knowledge of the brand and the G/FORE customer.

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in photographic or related fields.
  • Experience with Photoshop, Capture One & Adobe Creative software, as well as Adobe Premiere Pro or similar video editing software.
  • Knowledge of Global Edit is a plus.
  • 2-3 years prior experience as a retoucher in a commercial photography environment.
  • Intermediate skills in Google Docs, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook is a plus.
  • Proficient working knowledge of still imaging software for Mac.

The salary for this position is $84,000
