About the role;

In this role, you will be responsible for completing material deliveries, rubbish removal, small maintenance and estate management tasks efficiently and to a high standard, adhering to standard operating procedures. You will take ownership of your work, ensuring first-time completion within budget and time constraints. A professional demeanor is essential when interacting with service users, clients, and stakeholders, maintaining high standards of appearance, vehicle condition, and health and safety. You will process tasks electronically using a PDA, including documenting work, managing van stock, and conducting risk assessments. Maintaining company assets in good condition and attending necessary meetings and training sessions are also key responsibilities. Additionally, you may be required to participate in emergency call-outs and perform various grounds maintenance tasks such as hedge cutting, strimming, and rubbish removal.

Key Criteria:

  • Able to drive a 3.5-ton flatbed truck: You must have the ability to operate a 3.5-ton flatbed truck safely and efficiently. This includes understanding the vehicle’s controls, adhering to road safety regulations, and ensuring the vehicle is well-maintained and in good working condition
  • Previous experience in a grounds maintenance role: You should have hands-on experience in grounds maintenance tasks. This includes activities such as hedge cutting, strimming, moss removal, fly-tipping removal, and rubbish removal from void properties. Your experience should demonstrate your ability to perform these tasks to a high standard and within set timeframes
  • Full UK driving license: A valid UK driving license is required for this role. This ensures that you are legally permitted to drive in the UK and can operate the necessary vehicles for the job. Your driving record should be clean, reflecting your adherence to traffic laws and safe driving practices
