As General Manager for France, you will act as the end-to-end leader of our business in Paris, Wheely’s second fastest growing market. Early data is signalling us tremendous potential within Paris and the Cote D’Azur and we’re excited to be doubling-down and bringing someone on to work directly with our Founders and Executive Team to lead the growth of our business while being laser-focused on ensuring unparalleled service quality.

We are looking for a cross-functional, dynamic, and ambitious leader with 5-7+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or other high-intensity, high-growth environment who’s passionate about our product, hospitality/luxury/transportation and is looking to take a significant step in their career. You will be the face of the brand, embodying and promoting our core values internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the overall commercial operations, strategy, partnership and growth in the French market.
  • Lead and develop high-performing, cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with Wheely's global standards and local market needs.
  • Drive business development, identifying and capitalizing on new opportunities for expansion and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the central CX team to maintain high standards of service quality, aligning with Wheely's luxury brand ethos.
  • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and government entities.
  • Lead the French business reviews while continuously driving urgency in execution and roadmap prioritisation, across stakeholders and the local team.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and Wheely's privacy-first approach.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, promoting Wheely's culture of excellence and innovation.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities, adapting strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with global teams to share insights, and best practices, and support Wheely's international growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, or high-growth tech environments.
  • Strong business acumen within the local market with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong analytical and numerical capabilities, with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis,
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Deep understanding of the French market, culture, and business practices.
  • Passion for hospitality, luxury and transportation.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Proficiency in English and French.
