GL Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented GL Accountant to ensuring data accuracy, analyzing financial information, supporting monthly and annual close processes and reconciling accounts.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs various types of accounting entries in accounting software related to posting bank transactions, credit cards, expense invoices, leases, expense reports, etc.
  • Carry out accruals of expenses, taxes, withholding tax, book prepaid expenses and their subsequent recognition, offset VAT accounts, book transactions related to the write-off of balances, etc.
  • Issues invoices for services, regulatory costs, etc.
  • Opens new accounts of counterparties
  • Updates exchange rates in the system;
  • Prepares various types of reports and statements required for ongoing activities;
  • Maintains communication with counterparties including related parties regarding clarification of estimates, payment inquiries and other ongoing matters;
  • Reconciles accounts and ensures that all entries are correct and that transactions are reported in accordance with accounting standards and statutory provisions. Corrects errors where necessary
  • Performs data entry verification to maintain reliable and accurate data in documents;
  • Analyze financial information
  • Provide assurance that information complies with professional and regulatory standards
  • Ensure that data supports budgeting and forecasting requirements, and they provide solutions to control issues
  • Perform account analysis to make sure that entries and balances are correct
  • Support the monthly and annual closing processes, submission of VAT returns and other tax declarations;
  • Support the annual audit of financial statements;
  • Ensure that entries align with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Maintains good relationships with the team and departments within the company

We need you to have:

  • University degree ВА or МА in Accounting
  • At least З years of experience in accounting; Prior experience in SAP
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP) and Excel;
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities;
  • Fluent English.
