General Consultant - Business and IT

The Consultant will work with diverse clients ranging from small and medium size enterprises to Fortune 100 firms. Working in a team environment with internal and Client stakeholders, the consultant will develop, analyze, and optimize clients’ business and IT processes & systems
Responsibilities:
The Consultant will perform the following job responsibilities in addition to others as required for each project:
- Manages and implements business and IT initiatives within their assigned projects.
- Work with Client leadership stakeholders to identify business needs, requirements gathering, develop focused solutions, and realize those solutions by implementing effective business processes
- Guide leadership decision making using key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics and process performance analytics.
- The Consultant is the primary resource to project teams in support of all business and IT initiatives.
- Design and produce system and process improvement artifacts including process maps, standard work instructions and standard work aids.
- The Consultant will oversee the implementation of the system and process improvement recommendations with the client and work with other consultants to coordinate all facets of system and process improvement initiatives
- Data analytics and metrics development. Develop Key Performance Indicators for the current state, and track KPIs during and after implementation of process improvement recommendations
General Consultant Qualifications:
Qualified candidates for Consultant Level positions will have the following qualifications:
- Undergraduate Degree in technical field with two years of professional experience, or Graduate Degree, or equivalent in combination of education and/or experience
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Applications
- Demonstrated success in analysis driven problem solving
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment
- Ability to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams and influence without authority
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive materials and information
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with client personnel
- Expertise in data analytics, data presentation, and KPI/dashboard development will be a plus
In addition to the general qualifications required for a Consultant level position, it is desirable, although not essential, that the Consultant has one or more of the following Subject Matter Area Qualifications:
- Experience with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and SDLC (System Development Life-Cycle) processes or
- Knowledge of utility, or construction, or healthcare industry or
- Knowledge of process modeling and process diagramming software and tools or
- Systems Structural Modeling/Behavioral Modeling/Architectural Modeling or
- OPPM, Oracle Primavera Unifier Systems

- Temporarily remote due to COVID-19
